both; best of both worlds, currently AXP desktop, about to be replaced with a A64, and a P3 notebook, about to be replaced with a dothan/banias one.

Uuuh, I envy you.

I hope I'll eventually get paid enough so that I'll be able to buy a Dothan-based notebook.

Gaming PC :
AMD Athlon XP 1800+ (O/C to 2.0GHz)

Laptop :
Pentium 4 M 1.4GHz

Not in use (for decoration) :
Pentium 100MHz
AMD K6 233MHz
Pentium 3 533MHz

I just sold a PC with a Pentium 3 700MHz (O/C to 770MHz) to buy my laptop.

Probably an AMD K6-200 or an Athlon 2000+, Athlon 200 don't exists!

Dothan are a new Intel core that performs very well. A "Classic" Pentium 4 Mobile @ 2.6GHz is slower than a Centrino @ 1.7GHz (based on Dothan).

Hehe, but if FEELS so GOOD! You have no idea how many laptops with TX chipsets I've upgraded to K6-2's at 450MHz. All but one used K6-2 533's (they were cheap) undervolted to 2.5/1.9v from 3.3/2.2v, in order to allow thme to run cooler.
