I recently updated one of my images at work. The update was a SP2 update. Aftyer doing this update, I lost the capability to add or remove programs. This is even under the administrator login. I then install SP3 hoping things would get better. But I still have the same problem. Does anyone know the fix for this?>

There is no error message. You click on it...nothing happens. I do understand that I can un-install the the SP3. However, I'm hoping for a work around.

I don't think he means an error message popping up, but that you should look at Event Viewer to see if there's any error messages that might help tip you off. I think you can find that in Control Panel > Administrative Tools (I'm in Windows XP, so I'm not sure at the moment).

Let me clarify this. The problem is the Add/Remove Icon. I cannot un-install any of the programs. No error, no nothing, it just does'nt work. I checked the event log. I don't see any errors for this issue. Other than un-installing the update, is there a fix for this?

Looks like 1 or more system files are damaged during the update, you might have to reinstall...
When you click on the icon (Add or Remove Programs) in Control Panel, it does not respond, right?

Try a repair by booting to your Windows CD. Just follow the prompts, I believe.
