Best IPS pannel ?

Forum Computer Peripherals : Flat Panel Monitors Best IPS pannel ?

Hello,
Looking for a good 23-24inch IPS monitor.

There are some nice dell ulrasharp monitors which look good but i want to know if there are any new monitors out there better than dell U2410.

I am in no hurry to buy either so if some new monitor is coming out plz do suggest me.

Also i wont want anything more costly than that dell U2410 .

Your request is unreasonable. The Dell Ultrasharp series is famous in this forum for having an impressive quality to price ratio, so any monitor better than the U2410 is almost guaranteed to be more expensive.

The U2410 is already 8-bit + A-FRC to simulate 10-bit color. TFT Central's panel parts database lists one 24 inch panel that looks better, with true 10-bit color and an RGB-LED backlight, the LGD LM240WU5-SLA1, used in the LG W2420R and the HP LP2480zx, but those are both over $1500.

You can try the Asus PA246Q for about the same price, maybe slightly less. But there's no official review of it yet.

Also, from what I can find, the Asus PA246Q might actually be using the same panel as the Dell U2410. The slightly lower price is probably due to the PA246Q lacking the component and composite inputs of the U2410.
