Hi all,

I have an Inspiron 7000 hard drive that needs replacing. The current hard
drive is this one
IBM DADA-26480 6.4-GB
http://support.ap.dell.com/docs/st [...] /Specs.htm

I found one in Vancouver Canada
http://www.compusmart.com/product. [...] ard+Drives
at C$140.
I think the model is Fujitsu MHT2030AT
http://www.fujitsu.com/services/co [...] talog.html
http://reviews.cnet.com/FUJITSU_Mo [...] 11621.html

My worry is, will that Fujitsu drive work in my old Inspiron 7000? My
current drive seem to be ATA-4, while the Fujitsu is ATA-5. Also is there a
need for the BIOS to recognise the drive?

And if there are better choices of drives, and/or better prices in Vancouver
Canada, please let me know. I would like the smallest hard drive possible
(i.e. the cheapest), but there does not seem to be anything smaller than
30GB. And it is super hard to find a reputable dealer selling 2.5" hard
drive here.

Thanks a lot.
