Hypothetical Pinball shipping question

I would like to hear from RGPers who have had shipping experience
with various methods & means of shipping a machine by someone who has
NO KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO DO IT. In my scenerio, I am thinking of buying a
game from a woman cross country who has no ability to crate or
disassemble the game, other than logical common sense things.

What advice could you give me to give to her ? Assume she cannot
remove the legs or head, move the game, nor fold down the head (if a
modern game).

What shipper could be trusted ? Would the chance of damaging an
irreplaceable bg, be so great as to eliminate trying to do this ?

I have my own ideas, of course. I just would like to hear from the
various members here for some input. I state this post as a guide to a
"what-if" scenario for an EPay auction.

In your case I would highly suggest eric's shipping. He will come to
the house, take the game apart, move it, and deliver it. Plan on the
pickup and delivery to take FOREVER, but it will be done right.

The other option is NAVL. There has been some problems with some, they
don't like to go into the home, and know NOTHING about how to take a
game apart. They would be OK with a game ready to go out in the garage
or something like that.

Kirb I have bought a few machines so far. 1 was from a person that had
no clue what to do. I sent NAVL to get it, they removed it from their
home. Placed it in their truck blanket wrapped and on its legs.
Strapped it the side of the truck and delivered it here. Everything
worked out great, no problems at all. Id call NAVL.

Lock the doors, call NAVL to do the rest - and I tend to think the
safest place for a BG is in the head, where it belongs. Plus NAVL are
trustworthy, and make it easy on the seller.

Unless you can get some help from a pinhead that lives nearby her you
could chack around for a pin company nearby here. Otherwise Erics for
protection or NAVL for the less expensive option.
