I really have to wonder about the intelligence of the Federal Government in this war. In particular, I wonder whether anyone there has ever bothered to read any of the many many books written by revolutionary theorists of the 20th century--I'm talking about Zedong, Guevara, Debray, etc...

All of these Communist revolutionaries seem to agree on one broad notion- that it is necessary to create the conditions of revolution in a nation by goading the government of that nation into becoming repressive, and thus losing broad support among it's own citizenry.

And the Feds seem to be playing right into their hands.

But I think the reality is even more terrifying. I think that the Feds INTENTION is to become more and more repressive, and that they are merely using the threat of terrorism as cover to help accomplish this.

Not necessarily so, the US gov is quite brazen. And often subscribes to the philosophy that secrecy sometimes is best done in the open to appear as there are no secrets.

The damage being caused by these folks is so obvious that it would seem you have to look at one of two possibilities.

1. The entire Neocon adminstration is a bunch of drooling idiot imbeciles, or

2. The damage is deliberate and intentional, for reasons of their own.


With the exception of the idiot chimpanzee face they present to the public, there is no real evidence of this first possibility; on the contrary, most the predominant Neocons strike me as extremely intelligent people.

I think that they are planning to take another country, and we don;t have enough reserves.
So the ones looking forward to getting out and go home, will be coerced to stay indefinitely till mission accomplished. Since they are trained and experienced, they are to valuable to let walk away.

My Neice just got out after 7 yrs., the army told her to sign up or the would be calling her to serve the 8th year of commitment.She was one of those extended in bagdad, said she had had enough. Lost 30 lbs. over there. She is just waiting to see if they call her back as threatened.
