Can't adjust sharpness on Asus VW246H

I just purchased an Asus VW246H, it looks great and all but when I adjust the sharpness on the settings which allow it, nothing really happens. There's no difference with the sharpness set to 0 or 100, why is this? I can make noticeable differences with the other settings like saturation and contrast but nothing happens when I change sharpness. It's running on 1080p, not sure if that makes a difference. Any help would be appreciated.

The sharpness adjustment is only meant to be used when you are not using the native resolution (i.e. below 1920 x 1080).
