I recently traded processors on exact motherboards on different units one was a 2700xp the other was a 1800xp, when i installed the 1800 onto the cpu that was running the 2700 the system wouldnt boot, then i cleared the bios, and had to re-activate windows but after doing so the systems restarts after every boot and is never able to log on and i get a page fault in nonpaged area blue screen message?? can anyone help to get this processor to work in the other computer??

Let me guess, you removed a CPU set up at a FSB of 166mhz and replaced it with a CPU with a FSB of 133 without changing a setting? Does this MB have ESP?

winblows doen not tend to like prosessor changes in windows either. Use fedora or redhat linux and you will be better off.

ok i figured out the problem for everyone wanting to know... when i installed the 1800 i ran it at 100fsb and the lowest ghz setting possible then booted windows, after the restart i changed it back to 1.5ghz and a 133fsb and everything seems to run smooth so far, but thanks for the help
