hi, ive got a crappy athalon with 995 mhz and i wanna get a pentium 4 with somewhere around 3 ghz. how much do you think it'd cost for me to upgrade to this P4? i'm pretty retarded when it comes to this stuff, so plz dont use and big words

You will need :
CPU, MB, MEMORY, HSF, probably PSU and maybe a new Case.

Get at least 512Megs of RAM (the ideal is 2 x 256 Megs for dual-channel operation). For the MB, check THG reviews to choose a good performer. Get a 350/400 Watts PSU and with the rest of the money, buy a CPU that will fit your budget.
