Friend needs help on what kind/brand of laptop to purchase

My friend is looking for a notebook, I'll fillout the form first

1_What is your budget? Less than a thousand

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? She doesn't care about size, but nothing mini

3_What screen resolution do you want? She doesn't care about resolution

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? She wants something portable

5_How much battery life do you need? Atleast 7 hours if possible

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? She plays the Sims 2 and 3, and would like to be able to play them on High settings.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.) She watches movies and edits photos using Photoshop

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? 500gb to 1tb

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? 4 years

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? DVD/CD burner

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

13_What country do you live in? United States

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed. Atleast two gigs of RAM, Windows 7 for OS, atleast professional. I believe that's the one that emulates XP as well?

Sorry there is no laptop in your price range that can handle Sims2 and 3 on maximum settings with 7hrs battery life,so you have to sacrifice one of them,i can recommend you some with 3.5hrs of battery life that can handle Sims on medium-high settings,is that OK with you ?

Ugh. Women are so...infuriating. She decided to just not go with my recommendations that you all know what you're talking about [I figured that her budget wasn't sufficient for what she wanted anyway, but I'm more of a desktop guy] and go with a dell. Sorry about that.
