Is ThinkPad on its lowest configuration still sufficient? That is: Pentium M 1.3 GHz and ATI Radeon 7500 with 32 Mb, besides that it's like the newer and more expensive ones. Is that card ok for some games (like strategy and RPGs)?

Or would you get Acer TM 803Lci instead???

Thanks for help!!

I wouldn't get an Acer. But that is just my preference and opinion. The T40 config. that you posted will be absolutely fine to play the strategy and RP games that you mentioned.

I have slower A30 p3, r7500 with 16 megs, and still can play UT. Even though T series is an ultra porto lappo, with that config you will play almost any game, plus IBMs are the best durablest long running lappies.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

"plus IBMs are the most durable long running lappies."

- I couldn't agree more. Not just notebooks though you know. I still got my first computer (an IBM 386, 16MHz 386SX, 1MB RAM, 256KB Integrated Graphics, 80MB HDD): It still runs windows 95 as a type writer - must be going on 14yrs old now. hehehe (I'm surprisingly proud :p)
