Hello, i will soon be looking for a handheld GPS reciever as a nice new tech toy to check out. Also, since i'm going camping more often, it would be interesting to have that around.

I'm in Canada, and basically i'm looking for something thats in the $300-$400 CDN range. Preferably a recent model with USB connection (since i see a lot of em still have serial) and something that has a as detailed map as possible for North America (though Europe would be a nice bonus as well). But i understand most modern GPS ones allow downloadable maps.

If anyone has any recommendations they could throw up here that would be something to look for, maybe a brief explenation - i would greatly appreciate it.
