Hey guys

I am sure this has come up before, but I am thinking that it is time
for me to get the last game I think I want. I currently have these

TAF
IJ
TZ
JD
DM
Rocky
Batman Forever (going soon)

I can hold 7 games, I was going to live with 6 and still might, but was
thinking that RFM would make a good 7th game. I debated between IJ and
RFM and after playing IJ, it became clear I had to have it. I am
worried that RFM will get old quick, it does not look very deep, but I
have not played it enough to know for sure. They seem to become
available for sale quite a bit, but I know there was 7500 made which
would explain that one. If you have one, or did have one, can you let
me know if my concern is valid. I do not really have the extra money
to get the game, but could come up with it quickly as Batman Forever is
going. Any thoughts would be great. I know you have to play a game to
decide for yourself, but if most people found it to get old quickly, I
would probably be in the same boat.

Thanks!

PS, if anyone has one for sale, also let me know.

I have RFM and I also picked up a SWE1 kit a few years ago. It is a great
thing to be able to swap playfields, translites, plungers and prism cards
and be playing another game within 10 minutes.

As for game play I find RFM much more challenging and fun to play than SWE1.
Deeper ruleset and funny gameplay. I think RFM is very underrated.

Great looking playfield and easy diags.
I love mine.
As the story goes, your mileage may vary.

I have one. I love it. I'll keep it. It is unique from the rest of the
pins in that it was a cross between a vid and a pin. Also, any time I
can get my wife to play a few games she picks this or her ToM but I've
noticed a trend toward this machine. Another good point is the
conversion kit. You can still find them from around $780-$960 if you
know where to look. So, for a little more, you can, if you want,
basically have two machines.

I have two. One I bought NIB in 1999. The other
is a "one location" pin, that I considered installing
my SWE1 kit. It's gets so much play, I've decided
to just leave it alone for now.

It can get old I suppose over time, but it's not a
pushover game. It does have lasting play value
on par with TZ, IMO. Even on 'easy', it still makes
my wrists sting after a session.

Guests love it......

(Me too.)

Definitely a great game to have. I bought mine one year old in 2001 and
still love it. Personally I would spend a little more for an HUO since
prism cards are scarce and expensive. I saw one locally in the Want Ad
in Lowell. Advertised as HUO, original owner and perfect but he wanted
$4K. There are always some on Mr Pinball classifieds, or post a WTB
here and on Mr Pinball.

Or my new favorite............. Martian talking to Abe Lincoln "Other
than that, how was the play?" When I heard that I laughed so hard I
lost the ball.

I think RFM is very challenging and if you haven't gotten to the wizard
mode you have no idea how good the game is. Mine will NEVER leave. Not
to mention the fact that it is quite a unique piece of history in the
Williams timeline. I believe that after the new documentary "The Future
of Pinball" comes out and people see it, prices and interest will rise
dramatically.

Get one.

I have both StarWars and RFM. RFM is more entertaining due to the humor.
Both are rather deep games. Between the two RFM is best. I also have IJ and
it is my favorite of all.
