New presccott celeron way faster

Performance indeed looks reasonable if still not stellar for a budget cpu. It would still have a hard time beating a XP1800+ and would be chanceless against a XP2500+ costing less. Too bad they didnt include comparable XP's or Durons.

Also, Celeron was terrible as it was, but its performance plumetted even further when using integrated graphics (which would be a typical Celeron config). I'd be interested seeing some benchmarking of Celeron + IGP versus P4/AXP/Duron+IGP.

I can't remember the link, but I saw somewhere a review of these new Celeron with comparison to Athlon XP. Intel is on his way to finally give people a decent low cost CPU.

Who cares? It's performs like the ghost of Willamette P4.

AXPs will have no problem outperforming it
