New problem - Sonamp 1230

hello,

I got great help on my Marantz receiver problem and now have sound! However, I now find that my amp, Sonamp 1230, will not turn on and so I can't get my sound in other rooms - which is how it was set up.

When I press the power button, the red light stays on AC ON, rather than the green Active button coming on. Any ideas?

connect the rooms one at a time, until you find the one that is causing the problem.
You may have too many rooms hooked up....or the load wiring is wrong.
ONE power amp will typically run 2 rooms, or 4 speakers.

The amplifier is protecting itself.
disconnect all the speakers from the amp.
Now turn the amp on, does it operate?
Now test the speakers, one at a time.
