1_What is your budget?

No hard cap, as long as it hits all the requirements listed.

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

17" or bigger

3_What screen resolution do you want?

1920x1080 or at least close to that

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

This will be my main computer.

5_How much battery life do you need?

As much as possible.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

I want to be able to play the top games that are out now and that will likely be out in the next year or so on High settings.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)

Watching movies.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

I expect to get an external hard drive if a large capacity is needed so this is not a huge concern.

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

Any site that will ship to the US or a retail store in the US.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

No timetable for replacing it.

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

Bluray ROM

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I like Alienware, but am not limited to only that.

13_What country do you live in?

US

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Looking to dedicate a whole lotta money to get a laptop that will allow me to play top of the line games at high settings for now and for years to come.

Thank you for your suggestions ahead of time.

ASUS G73 would be a good option

lol, those links never work.

G73 would be good, as would the Sager NP8760 and MSI GX740. Also, rumor has it that laptops with GTX 480M's are going to be coming out this summer. I'd be tempted to wait and see what the reviews say about them. I have a feeling it might be along the lines of "hot, power hungry and not worth the money", but you never know.

lol I don't know what's wrong with bestbuy
NP8760 is a great laptop and has a great cooling,GX 740 has is a great laptop too but its cooling isn't very well.
And as for my link, simply go to bestbuy and search for G73,you'll find 2 models, and the link that i posted is for the more expensive version

Hi there,

You should check out the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q880. It is a powerful gaming laptop with a 18.4" screen, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7-720QM, and 6 GB RAM.

Here is the link to the full specs: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/pc-scout/laptop-detail....

Cheers!

Although that's a good choice but,G73,Sager NP8690,MSI GX740 all perform better than that because 5870M performs significantly better than GT 360M

Just for sakes of widening his choices you could take a look at alienware m17x's however they cost much more.

I have one however i wish i woulda tried the asus but i don't own it so i cant say the asus is better.

If you get an alienware m17x i believe you can get Xfire 5870's however its a much more expensive option.

I recommend the G73 for sure. my friend recently bought one and its a phenomenal laptop for the price. other laptops cost almost double with the same specs.
