Hey all this is my first post, I'm hoping to draw on ya'lls expertise here. My budget is $1,000, I want a decent laptop that will play the following games at the settings posted, no HDR, no more than 2x anti-aliasing, no anisotropic filtering, 60FPS.

Starcraft 2 - upper medium settings
CS:Source - upper medium settings
DOD:Source - medium settings
Serious Sam 2: HD - lower medium settings
Diablo 3 - lower medium settings
Modern Warfare 2 - medium settings

My current laptop is: 2007 Dell Inspiron 1720

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.50GHz
GeForce 8400M GS (256mb)
2GB Ram @ 667Mhz
Windows XP 32 Bit
150gb (I assume) 5400RPM HD

I have customized 2 computers, 1 from iBuyPower and 1 from HP. I believe they're the best I can get for $1,000.

iBuyPower build -
Core I5-520M @ 2.4ghz 3MB L3 Cache (is there a turbo mode for this processor?)
Mobility GDDR3 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5650
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
7200RPM HD

HP Build -
Core I5-430M Dual Core 2.26Ghz 3MB L2 Cache (Turbo Mode up to 2.53Ghz)
Mobility GDDR3 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5650
6GB DDR3 System Memory at (I assume) 1033Mhz (can't find the speed)
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
7200RPM HD

Please let me know which build you think will better meet my requirements. Can I OC the ram in the HP Build? Can I OC the processor in the iBuyPower build? Are there any other laptops out there that are better for $1,000? Thank you for your time.

I'd shoot for the Ibuypower build. It may have less memory, but 4GB is all you really need. Plus, you are getting a better processor, which will come in handy for gaming.
