Boards were just all repaired and I installed them all this morning.

Power up, game goes into attract mode but does not start. The game
will accept credits.

Sound board will not produce anything when the self test button is
depressed. However, when I first put the boards in, the first five
times I booted the game the sound test started immediately, without me
even pushing the test button. Now nothing.

While the game is in diagnostic mode:

Light test works.

Solenioid test does not work, the display shows the #'s to the
corresponding solenoids, but they do not fire. Flippers will fire
whenever you are in any part of the diag. mode.

Switch test works and shows the ball trough and start button are
working fine.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Doug

Bingo. Embarassed it was that simple.
Still no sound however. Any clues there?

Check to make sure you have 3 balls in the game- on the 3 switches in lower
ball trough, or combination of 3 balls on any of the lower trough switches,
upper trough switches, and plunger lane switch. Game must "see" 3 balls or
it won't let you start a game.

Bad switch on the sound board possibly- stuck closed? Try removing the
9-pin connector on the far left of the sound board, then power up, and try
self test again. If it works, then you have some problems on the MPU board
most likely- something messing with the signal lines going into the sound
board (the 9 pin connector).

Blown coil fuse F2 on power supply board- 2-1/2 amp. This could be why
you're not able to start a game- game can't kick any balls out!

See above.
