Problems with notebook seeing wireless network

I have a notebook with an 812.G modem that has been set up
and connected to my mn-700 router for almost one year, and
has worked well until today.
I went away for the weekend and when I returned, the
wireless network is not shown as available. There was a
power outage over the weekend. I have tried rebooting the
system twice by shutting down and starting up again, but
the network still is not there.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
