It's a fun game, and if you have any redneck in you, it's addicting ;)

Plus, I've got, oh, a bazillion photos of my shop job for whomever
needs them ;)

not as your only game, but i love FT in my selection of 10 games. If i
had 2 games only, i would look for something else with a lot more to
do.

I've always wanted to check out NGG but folks tell me that the problems
with the software kill the game.

NGG is waaaayyyyy better than FT. FT is fairly easy and on it's own
gets a little old. NGG, on the other hand, is challenging with the
sweetest shot in pinball..."Supppper Jackbot". NGG is simply one of the
best games around great game (in my top 5 :-). I won't bother repeating
all the great things about NGG, do a google search and look for Aron
Boag's post a year or so ago, he describes it perfectly.

yah the cabinet decals really help the flow.

I'm happy with my FT with factory decals and 0 fade since it makes
getting rock the boat more challenging.

Personally I don't find the software issues a big deal and they
certainly don't take away from the game play. I think the issue has to
do with the spinner awarding the properly displayed award, correct? If
so, the damn game is so fast I never have a chance to see what is being
awarded before I shot the shoot anyhow :-)

Yeah, I'll take NGG over FT as well.

FT, Diner, Big Guns, Road Kings, etc, etc.
(Diner is the best in the bunch), all the
same.

NGG manages to offer more of a difference
to be unique. Bugs, shmugs.. Fun game.

Sell the twister, get the FT and then maybe the NGG (even though I
would have picked the WCS instead).

I had a WCS, sold it, and sort of regret it. I don't think I would sell
a FT. It's just a cool all around game. It's alos a hell of a MPL zen
game when played with the right person!

I agree, but . . .

Twister is my wife's game and she recently informed me that it's not
going anywhere after I threatened to sell it to make room for another
game. So, I just purchased a NOS PF and NOS plastics for it and am
sending it to CH for a total restoration next year.

My kids are suggesting we hold out for POTC, but I don't have a release
date from Stern yet. These are tough decisions!!

i owned both.
am getting another FT. won't own another gofers.

i liked gofers, but just wasn't a keeper for me. i do admit that getting
a hole in one shot is very satisfying.

FT would be my choice.

I would go find a FT and sit her in front of it for an hour or so. She
just might convert.

I'd take a FT over NGG any day of the week

BUT

A FT really needs a White Water to go with it :)

She's hooked on Twister's multiball where it throws all the balls
everywhere - so FT won't compete in that area : (

Many people say that FT is fun for awhile, but gets boring reel (no
pun) fast? Have you guys found that to be the case too?

Archived from groups: rec.games.pinball (More info?)

No, Actualy for some reason that game keeps bringing me back. I love
the feeding frenzy music and I always have to be the biggest liar ;) .
Also the multiball jackpots are not easy at all...and then there's
trying to double them. Make sure you set multiball locks on hard or
else it's just too easy (learned that from playing Mike Schudel's game
set on hard)...plays 100 times better and you get to hear the extra
audio when you hit the target.

It's a great change of pace game. and since there is no subway ramp it
plays pretty quick....up to the top for jackpot! j-a-c-k-p-o-t!

I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

GnR is a great game (and miles ahead of twister). my wife only insists
that i never sell SS or CFTBL, well she likes STTNG also and has got to
final fronteir before without buying in so she's kinda crazy. ;)  Don't
get TAF since you already have TZ and that game is boring anyway ;)

I sold my FT and regret it for many reasons - not even including how I
lost about $850 in the transaction :(

It didn't go too far. Not that I'm selling it, but you can play it anytime
you want. For sentimental reasons mind you. :-P

Yeah rub it in!!! Just 'cause the damn tilt on my FT was set tighter than
the space between a mosquito's butt cheeks is no reason to gloat. :-))))
Cameron and I tilted twice IIRC. :-(

Good point.

TFTC used to be my wife's favorite.. then I sat her in front of Kirb's
NF at KZoo and the rest is history :)

It was. FT is a true Zen game! Left player shoots locks and hits right
orbit to increase Captive ball award. Right player shoots jackpots, left
orbit for depth finder and EB target. Pass the ball between players by
using the boat ramp.

TAF or GNR have magnets that can do similar things, Whirlwind has
discs... you have some choices :)

But, I can appreciate keeping a game around for your wife. I still have
my wife's TFTC, mainly because I haven't found a buyer for it yet. Got
close once or twice and didn't have an hour or two to dedicate to
finishing it!
