Well with my dreams of running my 2.4 @ 3 ghz shattered becuase of the f8cked up p4s8x i got.So i'm stuck with my ga-s8r533p.I was looking on newegg and i could get a mobile 2500+ with a nf7 and sp-97 for like $300.And i was wondering should i do it? or wait for the next gen of cpus to come out?I think i might be able to pawn off my current board chip and sp-94 to someone at my work.So what do you guys think?
To upgrade or not to upgrade that is the question.

I personally think now upgrading to AthlonXP is a waste now... If you are gonna buy something new, I'd go with athlon64. Wait for socket939 maybe.

Ya i think my future upgrade will be an athlon64 but i was just considering going with a mobile becuase the price is so low.

I figured you'd have problems with that P4S8X, as so many others have. Asus really screwed SiS on that one, not to mention the budget conscious enthusiast.

Now you're talking of spending $300 to go AMD? When you already have a P4 2.4? Depending on the quality of the 2.4, I might consider a better board for it, or I might do nothing.

Ya i think i'm just going to wait for a bit and save up some money.I think ill upgrade around the end of the year.
