Hello,
After i press the on button of my HP pavillion, a pause of a few seconds occurs before it will start up. I get a message critiaclo error for boot performance in the event file.
How serious is this?

I think its just telling you its taking awhile to boot. For example, a PostBootTime of 0 to 30 seconds will get a level of Warning, 30-60 seconds gets Error, and greater than 60 gets Critical. I think its a performance based issue its probably a program not responding or taking to long to respond during boot. But don't quote me on that :)
