Regarding external harddisk detection

hi,
i am using external western digital hard disk, i am unable see it on my desktop. but it's showing in disk management. please assist on the below issue a lot of important data in that harddisk.

Right click on it in Disk Management and assign it a letter. (one that's not in use!)
Remove your email before the Spammers see it...

It may not just be a LETTER, he may not have created a VOLUME at all.

If a VOLUME hasn't been created I think it says "unassigned" or something like that. Simply right-click and create a volume...
