I attempted to install Linux on a second hard drive and now when I
boot up a screen appears with windows listed but when I boot nothing
happens. I can boot into the Linux, but can no longer access winXP.
Does anyone know how to fix this without reinstalling windows?
HELP!

Following the advice given will prevent you from booting into Linux.
You need a boot manager like LiLo
http://freshmeat.net/projects/lilo/
and how to get it to work with XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=126671

Do the above after bootcfg /rebuild (and XP is your only option)

Insert your Windows XP CD, at the prompt select R for repair, select the OS
and the account, type bootcfg /rebuild at the prompt and then exit and
reboot.

Does that do the trick?

The "fixmbr" command available in recovery console is often useful in
circumstances like this. Check out "help and support" for an explanation
of these terms.
