P4 Extreme is not Prescott, it's a Northwood with extra cache (L3). I'll build that system for you for $2000.

serious? $2000.. I thaught the processor was going for like $800 if not more. Speakers go for $400.. I forgot to include the Audigy zs Plat Pro. I think im getting this cheap.
And there are no finance fees. Im paying this straight.

Oh, that's the problem, I can't finance.

I didn't have to run the numbers to know I can beat a shops price by 10%. But if you wanted it cheaper, I can run the numbers and get back to you.

Lol. Thats ok. Ime getting some free goodies too because my clan leader is doing this for me. Mosty because of the TWL event on July 1-4 for Americas Army. We need to have some fast rigs, and mabie we could have a slight advantage over other clans/teams.

You need better ram than PC3200.

What do you mean better? I dont plan on overclocking this chip.

Sounds pretty standard pricing for the parts involved. Those speakers are not cheap anywhere and neither is that CPU. Also adding unique tweaking involved, that price sounds reasonable but make sure you get a warranty plan with that. Where did you get this quote?

Mobile Barton 2500+ @ 2420mhz 11x220 1.7v
Asus A7N8X Dlx 440 FSB
1gb Geil GD pc3500 Dual Channel (2-3-3-6)
Segata 80gb SATA 8.5ms seek
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro to XT(420/730)

That fast machine would be worthless unless you have a good isp connection.

It comes with a 3 year warentee. Im getting it from a company called Computer Tech Systems. My clan leader owns it. Im on a DSL line 1.5/384 speed by Verizon.

well that is a steal (and a rockin config), and im sure you trust your clan leader, but those 3 year warranties can be decieving when dealing with online startup builders because often times the builer is out of buisiness long before the warranty officially runs out. I have a lot of experience with startup OEMs, and as helpful and well meaning as they may be, they usually dont last that long.

If you are so proud of getting it and think this is a good deal, why are you bothering us with "worth it" question? You know you gonna get it, so bragging and yelling will not make it more usefull. If you want to feel good about it, yell from the roof of the skyscreper and tell every body you have a good deal from the top head in your clan.

PS: three years warrenty worth 150 bux by itself.

Mushkin is better? I always thaught that Kingston was good.

Blah: Just so you know, I "had" doubts in my self and people like Crashman helped me with my decision. Who is forcing you to read this thread? When was I yelling? Ohh... You must be offended by somthing I have said. I did not know I was worthy of your time. If it was such a bother, then why did you post? Mabie you did not have to be such a jerk about it though. I would have ben more than happy to apologize otherwise.

All in all.
Thanks Crashman and to the others that posted not being jerks.

Crashman and Cybercraig both run P4's. They must know something!

i know this is pretty late, but it sounds like your using this for gaming. i just wanted to know why you chose the p4ee chip?

Gaming. Server Running. Video Editing. Compression. Those are some of the things I do. Mabie this make more sence now. I lean more towards P4 anyhow. For some reason I dont like Xeon mainboards though.

In china,i can build that system for you less than 1500$.I admit that your system is pretty good. But I think for daily use,you need not pay too much money to build a system like this.

Reply to lcf1977

Sounds like a good deal too me...I personally wouldn't spend that much money on a computer mainly because I wouldn't be able to with only being 15 and getting pad $20-40 a week. I need a different job.
