So after I got my stuff all installed and things are working well, I hooked up my router to the new computer and the connection is significantly slower that it was before. Any ideas?

Sure lots of ideas.

- You are downloading updates in the background.
- You don't have the latest driver yet.
- Your connection type changed.
- Your Ethernet cable is damaged.
- Your old computer was prioritized in the router settings.

Are you hooked into the router with a cable or with a wireless card or adapter?

It depends on the router. Is this the only computer connected to it?

Never mind, someone plugged a phone in without plugging into a filter first.
