I think to buy that processor: Athlon 64bit 3000+ 754pin/512 L2cache. But I don't understand the 512 L2cache. Could someone explain to me plz. Thanks

That Athlon 64 has 512kb of L2 cache. The 3200+ runs at the same clock speed but has 1mb of L2 cache. The L2 cache is built into the processor, it provides quicker access to instructions and data in memory. The difference between the 3000+ and 3200+ due to 512kb of L2 cache is marginal at best.

Cache is memory that is built into the the processor chip. It is very fast becouse it runs at processor speed.
