Linksys WPC11 and WUSB11 in Ad-hoc Config?

Hello. I currently have these two because I wanted to connect my laptop and desktop wirelessly. Does ad-hoc work between these two? I've been trying to get this to work all day with no luck. The desktop is XPPro, using the WUSB, and the laptop is Win2k, using the WPC. Each computer can't see the other. All the settings are the same on both computers, and I think they are linked because the State says "Connected" and "Associated", followed by the BSS ID which are the same on both. Both are using the latest drivers. XP even has the "Signal Strength" thing in the connection properties so I assume it's working there. Is there anything else I need to do? Please help! Thanks.

Couple of things:

1) WEP is disabled?

2) Is your IP config good - i.e. you've got static IP's on both machines, same subnet, etc?
