Well I'm pissed off right now because I had figured out some of the stuff I was grab thanks to some awesome deals at www.newegg.com. However I am informed that they refuse to ship across the bloody border. This means I'd hafta pay ridiculous prices to get a Rio Karma, Geil 512mb RAM, Coolermaster Case and 200gb HD.

So I look to you guys for help in my time of need.

You may be able to get some of what you want at <A HREF="http://www.anitec.ca" target="_new">http://www.anitec.ca</A> or <A HREF="http://www.atic.ca" target="_new">http://www.atic.ca</A> or <A HREF="http://www.ncix.com" target="_new">http://www.ncix.com</A>. They are all based out of Vancouver. Good luck.

Yeah I've been looking at em but none provide great deals on portable audio and their computer hardware deals just don't compare :(.

I never realized NewEgg won't ship to Canada, I wonder why? Maybe they know they wouldn't be able to offer as fast shipping methods, and don't want any negative feedback about shipping times....something they have been very good at so far.

Still seems weird, I mean almost every business deals with Canada just as they do here in the states.

The customs and duties are nothing and I'd rather a reliable vendor with great deals then having to settle for less :(

customs are nothing? with taxes/brokerage/duties everything it's about 40% of the value of the item that's being shipped!

I assume you are accounting for the exchange rate as well?

Prices in US dollars always look much more attractive than prices in Canadian dollars.

Just for your info... I live near Montreal and from what I have found. Most of online Canadians retailers don't have very good price. I found the best price at an online retailers, but with the shipping cost this retailers couldn't beat my local PC store.

Maybe if you live in the country, you will find that online stores have good prices, but if you live near/in a big City or suburb. you will not be satisfied with online retailer price.

It's tricky to use words like <b><font color=green>AMD</font color=green></b> or <b><font color=blue>Intel</font color=blue></b> in a signature some users could think your are biased.

Too true. I live in Vancouver, and prices at a few of the local shops are about on par with the best prices in the U.S. (including conversion) but when you add shipping, the price is crazy. It's cheaper to buy tech at a bricks and mortar, than online. Service is usually easier and cheaper as well.
