<A HREF="http://www.amdboard.com/amd64_opn.html" target="_new">This should help you</A>

Theorically, a 3400+ CG could be :
ADA3400AEP4AR
ADA3400AEP4AX
ADA3400AEP5AR
ADA3400AEP5AX

What is important is the last letter, CG on Socket754 will all be identified R or X (C0=P).

It's tricky to use words like <b><font color=green>AMD</font color=green></b> or <b><font color=blue>Intel</font color=blue></b> in a signature some users could think your are biased.

the other day i was searching the msi website about the compatibility of what processors for msi k8n platinum.an there was regular (clawhammer)3400+ , plus there was another processor called 3400+ (cg) i think its 2.4 ghz and 512 kb as well. but i believe they are not released yet probably will be very soon. i think amd made a mess of these numbering.1) its getting a lot confusing 2) 3400 + cg at 2.4ghz and only 512 kb will outperform both regular 3400+ regular and 3500+s939 processors in 95% of the benchmarks.and as far as im aware its going to be around the same price as regular 3400+.
