hey I'm upgrading my PC.
Currently I've got an Athlon XP 1600+ on a Shuttle AK31 v2 motherboard and was wondering if I would be able to run the 2400+ on it. Here's some (hopefully) relevant info:
350W P/S
AK31 - 266Mhz FSB, Socket 462
I think my processor is a Palomino, not a Thoroughbred.
FYI I emailed Shuttle support about it a while ago but still have no reply so I'm hoping one of you guys (& girls) will know :)
Thanks very much for any consideration!

According to shuttle website, this mobo doesn't support T-bred processors. Fastest CPU for this mobo is AXP 2100+ (Palomino). <A HREF="http://translate.google.com/translate?sourceid=navclient&hl=en&u=http://de.shuttle.com/ak31.htm#spezifikatio" target="_new">Click here for the shuttle page</A>

I actually had to MODIFY an MSI board to accept a t-bred, I had to remove a resistor to disable some protection circuit.
