Hello,
I plan to buy a Sony Vaio as my daughter's first laptop. She liked one in store with Core i3, 500gb hardrive, & 256 mb dedicated video memory (2007 total), plus GForce 310m graphics. She mostly surfs and plays Sims 3. I'm considering a slightly cheapter version (both have 4GB memory!!) with 325 drive and 1726 video (no dedicated). Can this do the job? Its much more than I have now!

Either one will do the job. The only difference is that the cheaper one probably will not play the sims as good as it could be played, but all things considered, it shouldn't be a problem.

Hi there,

I assume the laptops you are looking at are going to run Windows 7? Check with the Sims 3 software in order to find out what the minimum system requirements. The Sims 3 is a graphics intense came so be sure that the laptop you select will be able to handle it,

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheers,
