Hi,

I recently decided to design a PC. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on improvements. I'd also like to know if anyone has a suggestion on a monitor I can buy (preferably for cheap) that's solidly built and has good performance on games.

Here's my system:

CPU: AMD AthlonXP 2500+ Processor

Motherboard: DFI LANParty NF2 UltrB

RAM: 512MB PC3200 DDR Ram (Brand Name)

Hard-Drive: WD Caviar SE 80GB 7200RPM 8MB IDE

CD-RW: LG 52x32x52 [Model: GCE-8525B] (Black)

Video Card: Asus Radeon 9600XT 128MB w/ TV-Out

Case: Antec Lifstyle Sonata Mid Tower Case w/ TruePower 380 Watt Ps [w/ Extra Antec 120MM Fan]

Keyboard/Mouse: Logitech Cordless MX Duo [Elite Keyboard/MX700 Mouse Combo]

Speakers: Altec Lansing VS3151

Sound Card: Creative Labs SB Audigy2 ZS [If Mobo doesn't have integrated surround sound]

What do you think?

Assuming you're overclocking buy the mobile versoin of the chip
Also get a better chaphics card, a ATI 9800 128mb or if you can afford it the x800

My dick is so big, that my dick has a dick. And my dicks' dick is bigger than yours.

Get the Liteon CDRW, there are many issues with the LG.

I agree with Ned (not his sig though) The mobile chips are better for OCing. Get a saphire R9800pro with 128 mem and 256 bit. Dont bother with 128 bit or 256 megs. It should be about the same price as the Asus card, with twice the perf.
