Roller coaster tycoon 3 & windows 7

Hello,
i have a windows 7 computer. i tried to load up roller coaster tycoon three. it said i had completed the installation but when i clicked on the desktop shortcut it said there was a runtime error. is there a way i can play on it without there being a runtime error?

Not sure if it applies to your system's situation, but there is a 'fix it' button available here. Assuming the problem is something simple and software related as opposed to hardware.

Did you try running the game in Compatibility Mode (probably XP SP3)? The Win7 compatibility center says that the status of RCT 3 isn't yet known... Also, make sure the game is fully patched.

install direct x 9 it will solve this issue!
