Can someone one or perhaps a couple of you that own a nip it, look and see
if the gator assembly is supposed to be mounted flush to the bottom of the
playfield or does it sorta free float instead. I cant tell what its
supposed to do on mine.

It's supposed to "float" about a half inch down.
