Monitor problem

I have a Samsung Syncmaster 941bw widescreen monitor. The thing won't light up. It was taking a long time to light up, but then it just quit altogether. Is this a "disposable" monitor, like practically everything else is, or, can I repair it? (I am board skilled, if need be.)

You can repair it. If the backlight has gone out, order a replacement.
I cant search for a link for you where I am now, but ebay is a good place to start.

Note, if it is just the backlight, you should be able to see the image under assisted lighting.

If you can not see an image - take a look at replacing the "FL inverted"

It was caps 109 and 110. Changed 'em out and TAD-DOW!!! It works again.
