If you have a chute set for 1 coin 1 play, and there are credits on the
credit wheel, I notice that while the game sets up it also subtracts a
credit. So in essence you lose your money.

Is that the way it would have worked "back in the day" I don't remember.
I'm thinking it must have been, because the reset sequence includes a pulse
to the subtract credit solenoid, but I don't remember it like that.

Curious! Was it started up from a cold start and then you put a coin in
or....? The thing is that back in it's operating days I cannot see where
anyone would have walked up and put a coin in if there were credits on
the wheel. Once the game is started up and coins inserted should add to
the credit wheel until the replay button is pushed to start a game, then
subtract. Do you have any free play jumpers on it?

that's right, they always had that big ugly ZERO when you looked at them. i
recall looking for a machine that somebody had left credits on.

no, all original. my feeling is that back in the day if you had put money
in a machine with credits on it, it still would have subtracted a credit but
I don't ever remember somebody doing that.

all my other games were 2 games for a quarter and those always simply put
the credits on the wheel without starting.
