dilemma about pentium 4

but the store gave me by mistake prescott 3G.

should i keep the prescott or replace it back?

Well, if your room is always cold,you might want to keep the prescott. They aren't quite as good as the northwoods, but they are great space heaters.

Are you kidding, Prescott is better than Northwood, has more cache and SSE3.

Prescott L2 cache: 1Mb

Northwood L2 cache: 512KB

Don't return it.

Northwood Runs Cooler, and performs slightly better at almost everything than a Prescott at the same speed. That's <i>why</i> Scotty comes with more cache - Intel needed to do something to help it's performance.
