2200+ on gigabyte mobo?

I fear my 2200+ xp cpu might be done with. In order to be sure i installed the cpu on another computer i have here - a gigabyte GA-7N400V and once installed the system shuts down 1 second after being turned on. Now i have 2 guesses, either this is happening cause the mobo and cpu arent compatible or the cpu is dead, any experts here with an answer?

Dead CPU. Compatibility is not an issue if you have everything hooked up correctly and your BIOS properly set-up for that chip. :frown:

well, i cant configure the bios for that cpu since it wont even get to that stage, so im guessing that just really shows the cpu is dead.
