I still can't solve the infamous refresh rate problem when gaming under WindowsXP.Whether it's an OpenGL or Direct3D game,I got only 60hz all the time.I tried to run "dxdiag" and changed the DirectDraw refresh rate from 60 to 85,but it didn't work.

If you override the value in DirectX, it will only apply to DirectX games, not OpenGL. The refresh rate 'fix' in SP1 did indeed work for me, but again, only in DirectX. I have an ATi Radeon 8500 and all of my DirectX games play with a refresh rate of 100Hz... make sure you check your display settings. Windows will NOT override the refresh rate specified for your monitor in the display settings. It will never use a higher refresh rate than the one specified there.

If you design software that is fool-proof, only a fool will want to use it.
