Audio problem on HDTV

I have an audio problem when hooking up my desktop to my HDTV (Model: KDL-46XBR9) and hope could get some solutions here.

When I built my desktop back in May of 2012, after all the driver, bios updates I hooked the desktop to my TV via HDMI, everything sounded fine. Then I borrowed a monitor for the desktop for other purposes, everything sounded just fine up there as well.

But yesterday, when I hooked up the desktop to the TV again, I have been getting this weird audio problem. When I try to browse youtube videos with Chrome, I will get this choppy sound (silence) in the video once every other seconds, in a sequence. But if I open up the youtube videos with IE, everything would sound fine, and if I pause the IE youtube video and go back to the chrome one, the problem disappears as well.

As for games, I have tried CS:GO, DOTA 2, and Killing Floor, those can sound normally just by itself, but the problem persists in games like Terraria.

I got so frustrated that I have re-installed drivers over and over again, to a point where I even restored/formatted my desktop two times, the weird audio problem would not go away.

it can't be the TV or the HDMI's problem, since they all worked fine on my friend's laptop.

The desktop would still sound fine after plugged back into the Samsung monitor I borrowed, but as soon as I re-plug into the TV, problem appears.
