2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

3_What screen resolution do you want?
Not picky

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
A desktop replacement sort of

5_How much battery life do you need?
Not fussed

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Yes, Counter strike source, Sims 3, crysis other pc exclusives.... Medium to high but low would be ok for the more power hungry ones e.g Crysis.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)
Web surfing, email, ipod and itunes, dvd burning, as a media centre sort of thing for my console to stream from and general pc stuff

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

3 to 4 years

Dont really know enough about brands probs just don't like Compaq

I'm after a sort of casual gaming laptop that can also replace my ageing desktop so i can still do some video watching like hd youtube or game trailers, i own a 360, ps3 and wii so only really PC exclusives will get a look in as well as CS source. I want windows 7.

Out of the two laptops i linked to the Asus seems to have a better performing GPU and is alot cheaper but the dell has a better CPU.... i dont really understand any of this so all help appreciated.... thanks in advance.

I'd say that the Dell you have configured will do the job. After checking through the other sites you have mentioned, I can't find a decent processor combo and dedicated GPU.

From any brand out there id go with an

they have the best laptops on the market, good warrantee, and good prices (better than HP, Acer, Gateway)
