SCREEN GREYED OUT CAN'T CONTROL

Hello,
Have a 21" VS12116-2M. Has worked well for a year. Now the screen is greyed or washed out, have no control. Does it need a reset? How is it done? Have remote, Blue power lite comes on 12 seconds, then shuts off. Removed all inputs, still no change. Can anyone help/

Some things die out. I'd call Viewsonic and ask how to do a factory reset.

I'm too embarresed to tell anyone what the answer to my problem was. I didn't know that there was a power switch on the front, the blue/orange indicator is also a power switch. Once I discovered that was also a power switch and pushed it to the ON position, all is well again. This is after 60 years in the electronic field, ham radio and a BS degree in Physics. DAH
