Stargate speech problem

When i turn on the game, i get 5 beeps.
Also the red control led on the aux. sound board is not lighted.

What can be wrong ?

I have to exact same speech EPROMS, i don't think this could be a problem.

The sound is working except the speech.

Could be a failuren in the FM-chipset, U2 or U3 ?

Any suggustions are welcome.

If you can try another ribbon cable.

That's gonna be tough i think, i could try.

That's also the reason why the led won't light up ?

I mean without the ribbon cable i have no sound, when i install the ribbon
cable i have just sound but no speech.
