Hi. I'm currently working on building my first computer, and since I'm on a mean budget, I can only afford some $50 or $60 to put on a case/PSU combo. It'll be an Athlon Mobile XP system (35w 2400+) with an SLK 900a and a 92mm Tornado for starters.
What's the best case for overclocking (good airflow, PSU, etc.) for that price range? Looks don't matter at all to me. Just performance. Here are a couple I've been considering at Newegg because of their very positive customer reviews:
For a cheap case with a temp sensor you can put anywhere and a side fan, it's hard to beat this <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-138-034&depa=1" target="_new">one!</A> It has the same PS specs as the Rosewill.
Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4 - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!
Offhand, I would say the x-dreamer, only because I have a friend who bought it, and it runs decently well for him. Also, it can have 6 fans, that's some serious cooling potential. Just remember, that's a no-name psu, so it probably won't really support up to its stated capacity, not a prob for my friend as he runs 1 hd, 1 optical drive, and his mobo has integrated audio/video
