Problem player .264 DVR backup in Windows XP desktop computer

Hello,My DVR backs up its files in .264 file format. I backed up a 5 min event on my flash drive together with the K6 Viewer and was able to view it clearly on a Windows XP laptop, but the screen is blank in "overlay" mode and not visible in regular mode on my Windows desktop computer, opening it with the K6 Viewer - no other program will recognize or open it. How can play this event on my desktop computer?
