I have a client who is experiencing intermittent sync problems. They
are running Tungsten T3 handhelds and are syncing via modem by using a
cable connection with a motorola i205. The client has 10 users and
only a few experience problems, but not on a regular basis.
During a sync, the user will see a message on the handheld that the
connection to the desktop was lost. Any synchroization attempts after
this result in the same message. One of the error logs indicated that
the psyslaunchdb.pdb file was not being synchronized.
palm\cr\backup\psyslaunch.db.pdb
synchronization failed
subsequent attempts to transmit result in
eror: connection lost (6410)
They are now also not able to even get the handheld to connect to the
desktop and synchronize anything. The sync log is not generated.
Can anyone shed some light on this? Any other similar exeriences?
