It's about damn time! That poor girl. Brain dead for 15 years and her parents are too cruel and sick to let her go. I heard an interview with them today and they're insane. Complete bible thumping lunatics. They couldn't understand why her husband wouldn't respond to them since 1997. It's because they're CRAZY! "Oh, she looks great sitting in her chair. God saves her all the time. She'll get better with rehabilitation. Give us our daughter. She's not a plant."

YES SHE IS! YOU CRAZY MUTHERFOCKERS!

And Congress? WTF WERE THEY THINKING!??!?!

I simply can't believe that parents wouldn't respect her wishes. What motivation could Michael Schiavo have to let Terri go other than her own wishes? He has his own wife and family and has no motive to let her go just to let her go. Her parents are selfish bible thumping not jobs.

This is going on a few miles from me ... and Michael Schiavo does have this thing with a $1,000,000 life insurance policy ... but I believe it's about her wish, not greed ... this is the 3rd time that tube has been pulled ... each time a new court injunction get's it replaced ... will take up to 10 days without food and hydration ... so we'll see ... I'm staying the fu<b></b>ck out of it ...

That’s the most humane thing they could have done for the women, and yes I agree her parents are nut jobs, being religious is one thing but paying to keep a vegetable alive even with her consent to pull the plug is insane.

What she was isn’t there anymore but some people cant/wont let go and that’s sad.

whats more insane is stony brook medical center has a patient who is an illegal alien and is basically brain dead but they cannot locate the family, so they cannot pull the plug. This guy has already been there approx 2 years and it probably cost tax payers around 3 million.

i see it every day
a family of like a 92 year old will not sign a DNR
i mean people are not resonable
but in the illegal aliens case the tax payer and the hospital are screwed. At least the 92 year olds family can be billed and hopefully wake-up that grandma cannot be kept alive forever.

Think about it for a second though. This lady has been brain dead since she was 26. 15 years and her parents think she can get better with rehabilitation. Complete sadism as far as I'm concerned.

Euthanasia is no doubt a hard decision, but this lady isn't in a coma or anything recoverable. She's brain dead.

Congress does not care about Schiavo beyond her ability to drum up votes.

Well, look at the bright side, if you can come up with a suitable list of names of republicans that are all in favor of that bill, then DH will be voting democrat or independent next election in 2008.
