After playing 2 games on Monster bash, during a ball, the music goes out, I
get 5 beeps, and then voice, sound effects only. After the ball drains, the
new ball has both sound and music. Went out on that ball, and the machine
made a loud constant sound (turned off the machine immediately). After 2
minutes, turned on, no issues or dots on boot up, but when I started a game,
the sound went out and the display was intermittent. The machine is off
until I can get some (legendary) guidance from the group.

I would reseat all the cables especially the ribbons. Both ends. Reboot
the game and check the LED on the A/V board for flashing.(Top Right
board) Then you may try reseating the roms on the A/V board if the LED
is off or stuck on and not flashing. After that you may need
professional help but both sound and video going on the fritz at the
same time is not real common beyond connections. Don

Hi Rick
Just had a MB board on the bench this week with a rolling display. Cap
replacement fixed the problem. Cables are always the first and easiest
thing to look at like Don mentioned. If all of them are snug and
without any damage then your next step is to check all the supply
voltages first while in attraction and then while in play. See if there
is any large voltage dips. If you need the voltage values and their
ranges, send me an email.
