Screen Tearing HELP!

Just got a new Samsung SA350 23'
My spec's are

I am noticing quite abit of screen tearing not sure why this would be I honestly thought that this monitor with my set up would not be giving me this problem


850WATT XFX CORE EDITION PSU

M4A78LT-M MOBO

4GB DDR3 @1066

GTX 280 ASUS 1GB GPU

You see screen tearing when running what software? What refresh rate are you using?

My monitor refresh rate is 60HZ and I am running stalker all series
I have dvi to vga connector

The problem is your game settings. You must have v-sync turned off, which causes tearing if your PC can render frames higher than your refresh rate. Either turn v-sync on, or increase your monitor refresh rate.

I have tried these I think it may be that I need a DVI > HMDI adapter. As I am currently using DVI > VGA thanks for help regardless

Using a DVI to VGA adapter has nothing to do with tearing. . .
